1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using URLGenZ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
URLGenZ provides a URL shortening service that allows users to create shortened versions of long URLs. Additional features include click analytics, QR code generation, custom short codes, UTM parameter building, and link expiry dates.
3. User Accounts
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. • We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use URLGenZ to: • Shorten URLs that lead to illegal content, including but not limited to: piracy, malware, phishing, fraud, or illegal drugs. • Distribute spam or unsolicited communications. • Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, the rate limits or security features of the Service. • Harass, threaten, or harm individuals. • Violate any applicable laws or regulations. • Impersonate any person or entity. • Scrape or systematically access the Service through automated means without permission.
5. Rate Limits
• Guest users (no account): 10 shortened links per day per IP address. • Registered users: 100 shortened links per day. • Admin users: Unlimited. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time. Attempting to circumvent rate limits may result in account suspension.
6. Content and Links
• You retain ownership of the URLs you submit. • You grant URLGenZ a license to store the URLs and create shortened versions. • URLGenZ does not endorse or take responsibility for the content at destination URLs. • We reserve the right to disable any short link that violates these terms or applicable law.
7. Prohibited URL Types
The following types of URLs are automatically blocked or may be removed: • URLs already shortened by another service (URL chaining). • URLs pointing to private/local IP addresses (localhost, 192.168.x.x, etc.). • URLs leading to malware, phishing, or illegal content. • URLs used for spam campaigns.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. URLGenZ DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, URLGenZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
